Ultrapure Water System Delivered in Novara
Gradiant has completed the design and construction of an ultrapure water (UPW) facility for a semiconductor manufacturing site in Novara, Italy. The system has been commissioned to meet current microelectronics water quality requirements while maintaining high recovery rates, supporting reliable and efficient chip production.
Supporting Europe’s Semiconductor Expansion
The Novara project represents Gradiant’s second semiconductor UPW facility delivered in Italy in 2025, following the recent handover of another plant in southern Italy. Together, these projects reflect growing investment in Europe’s semiconductor manufacturing capacity, aligned with broader regional initiatives such as the EU CHIPS Act.
Performance and Sustainability Focus
The newly commissioned UPW system is designed to deliver water purity suitable for advanced semiconductor processes while optimizing resource efficiency. High recovery rates contribute to reduced water consumption, addressing sustainability requirements in water-intensive manufacturing environments.
Local Engineering and Project Execution
Project delivery was led by Gradiant’s Italy-based engineering and project team, which brings experience in semiconductor applications and familiarity with local environmental regulations. The team supported on-schedule and on-budget execution, combining regional expertise with Gradiant’s global water treatment capabilities.
Broader Industrial Positioning
Alongside semiconductor projects, Gradiant continues to expand its activities in other industrial sectors in Europe, including pharmaceuticals, while deploying advanced water treatment technologies such as solutions for PFAS removal and destruction. The Novara facility further reinforces the company’s role as a technology partner for high-purity water infrastructure in Europe’s high-tech manufacturing ecosystem.
